Travel Itinerary: 5 Must’s in London

Last summer, I packed my life into two suitcases and booked a one-way flight to London.

It was my first adventure into digital nomading, a dream I had shelved since 2010. I had no plan other than to follow one of my strongest intuitive pulls yet and trust that sometimes the least logical moves are the most magical.

To this day, I’m still unpacking the experience – I lived four years worth of life in twelve weeks – in a new city, half way across the world, that felt so familiar I must have lived there in a past life.

Summer in London is special and worthy of any traveler’s destination list, and I cannot wait to return. Until then, I want to share a slice of my experience in this city with you.

So, here’s my itinerary for 5 must-visit places in London, written with the spirit of a sun-drenched Saturday afternoon in Shoreditch.

1. Shop the boutiques along Redchurch street, and grab a coffee and pastry at Jolene. (Jolene = bae)

2. Try Burmese food at Lahpet – the tea leaf salad (lahpet thohk) and coconut noodles with chicken are my favorites.

3. Walk through the Hyde Park Rose Gardens, and be sure to smell the English roses.

4. Experience a whimsically boujee take on the traditional afternoon tea - and champagne - at sketch London. Reserve a seating 4 weeks in advance.

5. Eat the friend chicken steam buns and sweet potato chips at BAO Soho, thank me later.
